The team at Scotplants is committed to protecting peoples' privacy on our web site as we are over our own personal information.  Any information which we collect or request about you is used to process orders and maintain contact.

• When ordering products we need to know your name, e-mail address, telephone contact and delivery address.  This allows us to process and fulfil your order and to notify you of your order status and only details required to facilitate delivery will be given to our couriers, unless agreed by you e.g. to clarify actual delivery location in transit. 

• We also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about special ofers, issues with delivery, important functionality changes to the web site, new products which may be of interest and we think you may like.  We do not pass on your information to third parties without your explicit permission or request.

• As required by the Data Protection Acts currently in force we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us to prevent un-authorised access.  We will request proof of identity before disclosing any sensitive information or details which we consider personal back to you.

• Cookies collect anonymous information about how visitors use our site and the settings you select, which is then used to help improve the site. The information collected includes the number of site visitors, where visitors come to the site from and the pages they visited.

  _utmc - depreciated.

• We have a strict policy against selling, trading or renting your personal information to others and guarantee this will not happen within our terms and conditions subject to any legal requirements or undertakings but would advise in advance.
